Thanks to funding from ‘Sefton in Mind’ we launched one of our newest projects, Hammer Time in August 2022. Hammer Time is a men’s shed style project which has become increasingly popular over the last few years. Hammer Time is a DIY project aimed at improving men’s mental health, increasing skills and knowledge, and promoting community resilience.

The project is predominantly aimed at men from Southport aged 18 plus, but it is also open to women who may want to come along too! The project is always looking for ideas for small projects, tool and equipment donations, skills to share and new members.

The project runs every Monday and Friday, 10am until early afternoon and can be found at Southport Community Centre on Norwood Road, Southport, PR8 6HQ. We are now selling some of the items made for various prices and some items can be made to order – please get in touch.

For more information please contact a Living Well Sefton Mentor on 01704 517810 option 2 or visit our Facebook page here.

Additional information on the Men’s Shed movement can be found on the UK men’s shed website.

Please see below for a selection of photos from our shed including items they have made.
