KEW RESEARCH Brighter Living Partnership have been charged with identifying gaps in services and reducing inequalities in health. NHS Sefton's Annual Health Report has shown that there is reduced life expectancy for women in certain parts of the Kew area of Southport, in particular the area between Cemetery Road and Shakespeare Street. We are currently conducting research into the causes of these discrepancies and aim to address the problem by working with the community. We have a number of volunteers in the area completing lifestyle surveys with residents and hope to get the views and opinions of people living in the area and use this information to effect change and shape services in the area. We were successful in receiving a grant from Awards for All for this research. If you would like to join this exciting and challenging project please email ian.mitchell@seftoncvs.org.uk
